I have three glowlight danios in a 30 litre divided tank with 2 bettas and 3 neon tetras (on the other side)
I have the filter on the danios side and the heater on the otherside.
Yesterday I found a danio dead on the bottom of the tank, I scooped him out and couldn't see anything physically wrong with him. I put it down to old age, as I don't really know how old he is. I did a water test and cleaned the filters.
This afternoon I came upstairs and found another danio floating at the top - I thought he was dead but he's still breathing. I've seperated him and added salt and some general tonic but I'm not hopeful
I've tested the water again and all is fine.
The only symptom I can see is red gills - after some googling I have found this: http
/www.fishdoc.co.uk/disease/flukes.htm Could it be flukes!?!
If so what can I do to protect my bettas?
None of these fish are new and have been living happily in a 60l tank and now this tank for about 2 months with no problems!
