I just panted a ton of glosso in my tank/
Although the supply I rec'd was in good shape you can tell it was not in sufficient light to cause it to grow low but rather up. I intend to leave this in the tank for a couple of weeks to get situated and stabize and then give it a heavy hair cut. I assume if I cut it back after it establishes to ground level new leaves will grow out and it lighting is sufficinetly high enough grow horizontal.
Is this correct?
Thanks
Bob

What's your lighting (wattage and type), tank size, plant feeding (if any), and CO2? I'm guessing fom the way you mention lighting that you have a decent amount and have looked into this already, but I still have to ask. I'm also thinking since you've gotten into glosso you already know it's very light demanding for lush horizontal growth. If your tank meets all glosso's needs, than I'd think it should start to bush out from whatever height you cut it to. Once you trim a plant, all it's growth efforts are going to go into what remains below the cut. A tall single stock plant once cut will tend to grow or fill out horizontally (until large enough to reach vertical) giving it a bushier look. If your glosso is tall and leggy, if you trim it back short all remaing nodes of growth below the cut will start to grow out. If light is good enough and all other demands met, it should bush into a nice thick carpet.
