The new leaves on my crypts always look really pale and see-through. I read last night that it could be due to trace element deficiency. I currently dose Seachem Flourish twice a week at 0.56mls, and i really don't fancy buying root tabs and placing them underneath the plants.

Would it do harm if i upped the dosage or number of times i dose the tank in a week?

my current fert dosing is (as recommended on the bottles for my tanks water capacity):
daily: Seachem Excel (liquid carbon) - 0.75mls
Monday and Thursday: Flourish - 0.56mls (kept in the fridge)
Wednesday and Saturday: Iron 0.75mls

Take the Excel and Flourish both up to 1ml. No, this won't have any adverse effects on the tank inhabitants.
See how this goes, in combination with 30-50% water change weekly.

i was dosing the excel at 1ml for a few weeks to get rid of some algae but i will up the dose again. Ill up the flourish :) maybe my tank will stop looking so yellow if i fix these leaves
thanks
