Hi all

don't mind my spelling.... i have the Nutrafin ladder that came with the CO2 kit... and was wondering whether it was better to get a Glass diffusor that gives out tiny little bubbles...? which would be better to get CO2 to disolve in the water....

also whether it is possible to use a glass diffusor in the first place...

thanks

Hi, I've ordered a spiro Glass to go with my CO2 unit, I think it will give a better performance (boasts about 90% CO2 diffusion).

I switched from the ladder to the Spio 3 glass diffuser for my DIY C02 and it works really well. I have a 29 gal and I have 2 - 2 liter bottles hooked up together. I'm not too sure how well it would work with only one bottle. What I like most about the glass diffuser is that it doesn't need constant cleaning like the ladder did. I had to take the ladder out every week to keep the bubbles flowing properly.

I've bought one of these this to use with my nutrafin co2 kit because the ladder took up way too much space, it's supposed to dissolve up to 98% of co2 so it should be pretty good B) .

They are great and getitng some very good results with my glass nano diffuser :)

I got some of those glass diffusers you just mentioned off ebay from singapore fairly cheap, works well but gets gunked up sometimes and needs cleaning, no more than the ladder though.

Get a bubble counter. Will reduce the amount of gunk as the water in the bubble counter gets the gunk in it and not the tank. Although it is harmless saves cleaning it all the time :)
