Glass Co2 Diffuser

treated myself to a co2 diffuser from my lfs a few days back and have now rigged it up to my diy system, i'm a bit confused though, how do they actually work ? Might seem a strange question but i was expecting very small bubbles to be coming out of it, but it hasn't !! Or does it just get absorbed and drawn through the ceramic disc thats on the diffuser !! Just wanted to make sure it was all as should be cos its not happening like i assumed it would !

You're spot on there. No bubbles possibly means that your DIY isn't producing enough pressure.

Sometimes it takes a while for the pressure to build up on a DIY setup. Also some ceramic diffusers may require more pressure than your DIY setup can make.
