I quite like Glass catfish (Kryptopterus bicirrhis) and would like to get a couple. I'ven ever had any experience of them. Can anyone give me any info? (Diet, behaviour etc.)

Also, i have neon tetras and gouramis so far. Would Glass catfish fit in?

Cheers

I've had some experience with them. They tend to be quite sketchy and timid. Best to shoal in 5-6 or more. Very sensitive to water contaminates (bad water quality). Prone to fungus and very hard treat. The Gouramis will likely cause trouble and stress for the Glass Catfish.

Edit: If your set on them, a well planted tank goes a long way for them.

Glass catfish can get to 6" and prefer to be kept in groups they are fine with dwarf gouramis and tetras as far as I know.
They can hide a lot, like fast flowing water ig you google them lots of good results come up. If you look in the other catfish forum here and serch from them there is a thread to answer the same question you have asked
Hope this helps :)
