After looking at quite a few pictures of these fish, I really like them. Do they shoal like neons and prefers groups of six or more or not? I know on the fish index it recommends 3-4, but i'd be happy with more. Secondly, what size tank could house 6 of these comfortably? Along with other fish...

Neal I have had 3 of these for about year and half, I know they are supposed to be in a bigger group but mine are fine, would prefer more. They do shoal but in one place and do not move unless disterbed or the lights are turned off or when food is about, do not think they like the lights.

I believe they should grow to 5-6", mine are probably 4" but they are just long, not much to them, see my signature to see what I have them with. They have been happy in the tank since I got them.

We have 2 and they're very happy. We've been down to 1 and 2 before, but they're definitely a lot happier with three.

Ours are very active in the evening when the room is darker, and definitely don't seem to like the light. Sometimes they won't come out and eat if the tank light is on.

We filmed ours with a night vision camera, and they are very very active at night! Flitting all round the tank and skimming the surface of the water, looking for insects for something.
