One of my glass catfish is swimming slightly strangely.

When he's swimming on the spot he tilts a lot, with his head up, and he usually ends up vertical. The glass catfish always swim at an angle, but his is way more extreme. When he wants to move around, he can swim in the normal fashion perfectly fine, especially when feeding.

Thought maybe some kind of swim bladder problem, but he does seem able to swim regular when he wants. Or is this just normal behaviour?

Any ideas?

Check his barbels, aka whiskers. Does he have all of them? My glass catfish is missing one on top of his head, and he swims funny. A lot of the time he just lays at the bottom or swims tilted. He's always been like this though, and is healthy minus his little handicap. Did he just start this? Or has he always been this way? If he's always swam funny, I wouldn't worry about it much.

Seems to have just come about in the last week or so. He still seems quite happy. Not too worried as he seems alright for now, but don't want a worse problem to develop.

As for his whiskers, the end does seem a bit bent. We've suspected he might have hurt them a bit, as we have seen him bang them against things. Maybe that's it?
