Is there an average age or size for a fish before a fish store will even take a fish from me? I have 18 baby swordtails, and there still small, but there filling my tank. My friend had some Mollies, and he had 2 babies survive, so i thought in my 10 gallon tank, i would be ok to get livebearers. I guess not all of them are the same. Swordtails don't eat babies like mollies. Well, all my big swordtails have expired, so i don't need to worry about any more babies.
Anyways, how big should they be before i call to give them away (I'll ask if they'll give me anything like 50 cents of store credit, but really ill give them away). Is it like 3 months, or maybe 1 in? there like 3/4 to 1 cm now.
