i was just wondering since i missed one of my mollies giving birth last fri and now i have another mollie lookin ready to pop. is do they tend to give birth at nite when its dark or do they give brith at any time of day?

I only ever seem to catch them in the daytime Jen. It is when I am up. I really don't know when they "usually" give birth because I will see them very pregnant one day and by the time I come home from work the next day there are fry in the tank. I only really see the births when it happens on my day off work. There is a female molly in one of my tanks that I may catch this weekend though. She is definitely looking ready to start and is now hiding from her fry in the birth tank. Her fry are about 4 weeks old.

i only got my mollies 3 weeks ago. so i dont realy no when she last had fry so cant work out the exact dates yet. she is a silver sailfin and very square i put her in a breeding net yest as not to stress her out to much close to the birth and she is very settled in there
