Hi there all,

I have had a betta for a while now and he has a seven gallon to himself. He likes it well enough...I read recently that platys can live with betta and I figured I would try it...so I bought four and put them in with him. He isn't hurting them, exactly, just chases them away from him, but poor Plato doesn't really look happy either. He seems grumpy and more stressed, so I guess that experiment has failed. The poor platys are always hiding from him and are probably scared anyway. Does anyone want these fish (I know sometimes people send fish in the mail?) or know how I could safely give these guys away? I live in Indiana, zip code 46260 right on the edge between carmel and indianapolis. If you live nearby you could pick them up (I even have an old 2 gallon aquarium you could have with them if you like) or I could send them in the mail...I have heard of people doing this. The pet store I bought them from won't take them back. Should I try a different pet store? No one I know wants them, and I can't have two aquariums, I don't have enough room. The platys are the yellow and orange type not too big. Thank you for your help!

I would be happy to take them, my only problem is that I am having to cycle my filters again {long story} So I couldn't take them until my filter is ready, unless you can send a piece of mature media with them.

If someone local to you writes in then don't worry about me.
