11 foot isn't that common in captivity, it isn't that coommon in the wild anymore either due to overfishing. Seeing one past 8 feet is doing pretty well these days

8 foot is still large, what the heck is he going to do with it if it doesn't sell? Pop a beer and start the grill?
lol... The auction is fine, I wish I had the pond and cash to buy it. I've seen a 7' one of these in the Blue Planet Aquarium (A public aquairum near me)
A weird looking fish, more spade than fish, lol.
No problems though.
