Giant Oto… strange eye placement..

I will get a clearer picture, but when they are stuck on the glass, they remind me of the character Sid, from the movie Ice Age… & as these guys can roll their eyes around, I bet these guys could watch the food going into their own mouths….

The plecos, and regular Oto’s ( including my Zebra Oto ) all have eyes it what would seem like a normal position these Giants, have eyes positioned much further apart, almost under the radius on the side of their heads… they probably can see the surface they are feeding on, better than potential predators above them… interesting

The Pleco’s eyes are positioned much higher on their heads…

I bet every time they look at you, they think "that thing out there doesn't have normal eye placement" .
