Giant Hog Killed

well i'm not sure about the pig, but the boy is not part of the photograph, clearly added later, colour contrast and pixilation are quite different! he may well have been 7 feet from a pig when the picture was taken, just not that pig. my guess is that he did not shoot the pig, and i have doubts that he could handle that gun, in such a stressed situation. though most of the photographs look to be un retouched. As for the boar, they can grow to an vast size. i saw one last night, lol no, on the tv, which was the size of a Shetland pony. from a program on the Insect Tribe of Papua New Guinea, though not the one they caught.

I can understand him having the pistol if he indeed does hunt. It s a very powerful weapon that at least one Congressman tried to get bannd when it was introduced in 2003. There are things about it that don't seem right such. If it is indeed fake, it will come out soon.

yep something is not right. though the gun is a Hunting special by Smith and Wesson. it is also the most powerful revolver in production, they say, it costs in excess of $1500, not a toy price. the prominence of the gun maker on the site makes me wonder. but if Smith and Wesson heard of such a kill, i guess they might make the best of it. I would!!

my guess is, the boar kill was real, and the lad helped with it. 12 shots from that 1/2 calibre gun, would not have been needed to bring it down. especially if it were used by an expert. you would need to be a fair hand just to stand up when firing that cannon. and a frightened boy would be far from that. perhaps someone there had this weapon, being avid hunters, they would be well aware of the money that comes with a big kill in the US, Naturally the weapon maker would want to get in on the act. what could be better than the biggest boar ever killed, by a Smith and Wesson, than to have it killed by a kid, using a cannon! Apart from the added kid, i still cant find any other problems with the pictures.

This is from one of the negative emails:

"..Its really not your fault, I am thinking as I read all those negative emails coming in. Yes while it is true that you definitely commited an act of terrorism, much like our president does each day upon arising..."

 terrorism....hahaha....

Whether it's fake or not, it's still a lot of pulled pork sandwiches. Can't believe it made the CBS evening news. We have more important things to report people! I wonder what story was nixed for that one?

The more I read the stories and think about it, the more convinced that it's all a hoax. The story says he shot it on May3 but the story about it didn'tcome out until this week, at least 3 weeks after the fact. If you killed something that big, why wouldn't you come out with it immediately? Then the man that owned the scales says he wasn't there when it was weighted and that he was puzzled but the 1051 lb weight when his scales only measured in 10 lb increments. Was also just readingan account here of a guy in Florida that killed one estimated at 1100 to 1200 lb. I'm sure hogs that large exist though.

Edit: Just read something on another website that I had not noticed before on the photo. The kid behind the pig is kneeling and has his left elbow resting on his left knee. There's no way he could do that and it be seen unless he was a considerable ways behind the animal. If you save the image and enlarge it, you can see.

its fake.....if the pig was as big as they say it is...then a 6 round revolver clearly what the boy is holding im guessing 357 or bigger would not take it down...and like evryone else is saying...the kid 10 or 11 i dont care would not beable to even handle a pistol of that caliber...more or less have the balls to pull the trigger...youd prolly need a decent sized rifle .308 or a 50 to take it down depending on how good a shot you are...and the picture...clearyly it was photo shopped

Don't you know? The boy's from the same family as that 10 month baby with the NRA membership or gun license, I forget which one it was. He's very special. In that family, high-school graduation is commemorated by the giving of a bazuka (sp). The bazuka makes squirrel hunting much easier. So much love.

Just kidding, of course.

Shame, though, it would be a truely wonderful world if pigs that large roamed the earth. Imagine the bacon coming out of that baby!

Stinkyjournalism.org did a full report on it. I was going to post their link but the site was down. They had some very believable points. I took both the "fake" photos on my last post from their site as examples.

Oh thank god I'm not the only one who thinks it's a total fake.
There is a website now.. think it's monsterhog.com or something that has even more pictures to try to prove that the hog is big, but all it does is confirm that the hog is nowhere near the size they're claiming it to be.
There's one with the boy and his father supposedly standing next to it to show the size difference, but anyone that's not blind can clearly see that they're standing further back from it and/or it's photoshopped.
There is also a picture of a backhoe supposedly hauling it away. That picture itself proves the hog is nowhere near as large as they claim. When you compare how large the pig in that particular picture is to the other things in the photo... you can clearly see that this hog is just a normal sized piggy.

People that make this crap up just to get this 15mins make me sick. Specially the adults using the child for their own gain.

The above is the link for all the proof on how the pics are faked

Don't worry, the people at Guiness Records, not the beer (A total hoot that it's spelled the same), indicated that they would investigate this, so the boy and his father better get their story straight or announce that it's a hoax if it is. I'm sure Guiness would be pretty upset if they had to send people to record a world record only to find out it wasn't true. They take record-breaking very seriously. I bet they could even prosecute for fraud if the investigation took up precious man/woman hours from true records that are just waiting to be recorded.

Still can't believe this made CBS evening news!

Thatlink won't wok for me. Says something about to many connection errors has it blocked. I still lean towards a fake although www.monsterpig.com seem to explain things a little better.
