Giant Danio Vs Neon Tetra

was in my local MA last week and spotted some stunning looking giant danios, on reading the information card i noted that it said they cant be kept with small fish, so wanting to clarify this i asked the assistant and told him i had neons, he replied that the danios would eat the neons, now my neons aren't very small but i wouldnt class them as large neons either, at a guess i would estimate them to be around 3/4 inch, he also mentioned harlequin rasboras as possible snacks for the danios, i have these too though if anything they are slightly larger than the neons. I really want some of these danios as i think they would look great in my set up BUTit's taken me quite a while now to even keep neons alive in my tank(in fact i swore when getting this last shoal that if they died i would never try them again). Has anyone here ever kept these fish together, i would like to hear from anyone who has any good/bad experience of putting these fish together.

Giant Danios can be extremely boisterous and are likely to harass and bully the smaller tetras/rasboras, They are more of a semi-aggressive species IME and do well with larger cyprinids and medium sized cichlids
