Ghost Shrip For Meal

My friend over at the local Petco told me that the "Ghost shrimp" would NOT be sufficient to feed to my Tang. cichlids. On the other had, Live Aquaria has some and it is the only one that states they can be used as feeders as well as cleaners. Does this hold true for the few cichlids I have that actually eat crustaceans, where can I get some for cheap in the US that I can use as feeders? I'm not big on using dead/freeze dried/frozen. Any advice on feeding those tang cichlids would be appreciated, thank you!

Think of ghost shrimp like brine shrimp, if you freshly hatched and they retain the egg sac huge boon, otherwise not so much, could gut load em for (bbs) a good feeding but this again is limited.
As the fish ages the protein is not so good for em anyway.
Buy a good balanced feed, I prefer NLS and it fits your stock as well, and supplement with a bit of live or frozen as treats.
You will never obtain the perfectly balanced diet a GOOD prepared food will give your fish with live food.

Think of ghost shrimp like brine shrimp, if you freshly hatched and they retain the egg sac huge boon, otherwise not so much, could gut load em for (bbs) a good feeding but this again is limited.
As the fish ages the protein is not so good for em anyway.
Buy a good balanced feed, I prefer NLS and it fits your stock as well, and supplement with a bit of live or frozen as treats.
You will never obtain the perfectly balanced diet a GOOD prepared food will give your fish with live food.

Currently they get a every other day feeding of pellets, flake (w/ krill and other nutrients in it), and then waffer tabs almost daily, to every other day, to even out the algae grazers and plecos.
I was also told by another poster about not feeding them the pellets any more for the protein may be too much. Also, i still need to get some seaweed clips and supply fresh foods such as cucumber, lettuce, and carrot for the fish to snack. and so would the dried brine shrimp in a bottle @ the pet store be sufficient enough for the fish as a "meaty" treat?

Sorry, not used to forums or really much of all the different foods.

What is "NLS" and when you say huge boon, you mean that the shrimp may overpopulate since as they mature protein wont be as important? Thank You.
