Ghost Shrimp

i only had two ghost shrimp in my fry tank (empty besides for them) and i noticed one dead on the filter - all whitish as all of mine have done when they died. earlier today i noticed one munching on the 'dead' one and i saw another one in there. do they molt or is it a mystery ?

Yes, all crustaceans (afaik) do not have a shell which grows. They get to a point where the current shell is too small another forms underneath, they shed the old one and the new one hardens.
