Hello,

I have a question about ghost shrimp, I have been doing reasearch on the internet and cant seem to get this issue straight. Are Ghost Shrimp truely freshwater or do they find slight brackish water more comfortable to breed, or should the newborns be transfered to slight brackish of1.003-1.006 or something like it. Also how do you determine which is male some places say the male is bigger others say the female is bigger this whole situation is very confusing.

I believe they can do well in both freshwater & brackish

I have caught wild ghost shrimps in the lake&river, also caught them in the ocean.

I was wrong they are amano shrimp so they do need brackish to breed in! Thanks for the help!
