Ghost shrimp and filter

So im wondering if I can turn of my filter for a week after my baby shrimp hatch so they dont get sucked up.
I will do water changes each day and keep the filter media moist.

I may have to move my betta into a empty cat litter container with the filter til the shrimp get big enough.And shrimp water changes each day
