As close to zero as you can get. The best looking discus I've seen always come from pure RO water tanks.
To tell you the truth though, I have no idea what these values are in the wild habitats of these fish. Maybe somebody knows. But generally, the lower the better with discus.
In the wild the GH and KH of the water discus are found in has no measurable levels and the pH is around 5, obviously these levels are not really suitable for aquariums as it would create a highly unstable enviroment which would be dangerous for the fish. Using R/O water and using just the bare minimum pH stabiliser snd replacement trace elements would be the best way to go.
Older, mature discus prefer softer, more acidic water, whilst younger ones tend to thrive in water that is quite a bit harder. They need this for optimum growth and development. So it all depends on the age of the Discus you have/are getting.
