HELLO!

I have decided to buy some shrimp for a 10L tank or possibly a spare 20L I have.. Cherry shrimp :)

Now, Do i need a heater for this shrimps?
Other than that, is it just a filter and plants for them? :)
Thanks!

Depends on where you live and what the average climate is. I used to keep my breeding tanks at 22 degrees and got very good results. If it is a few degrees either way then fair enough as I think their range is around 17 to 27 so as long as it is consistent then you should be ok. Warmer waters will increase their metabolism and shorten life span though.

Yes, they need a heater.

Mine seem to love the java moss, although they like my swords as well. Go for a dark substrate, sand if poss, that really makes the colour stand out.

OOh and yes to a filter as they can not handle ammonia. Moss is also a great idea for them to hide in and eat from.

Hmm..Shall i see the temperature of my goldfish tank and base it on that then? :)

you want it about 23 i think for cherry's. so you decided to go smaller in the end?
