Getting New Tank

okay, ive decided im getting a new tank for Xmas because although my fish are juveniles they will get pretty big, it will be roghly 45 US gallons.


i was just wondering what use i could make of my current 13 gal tank

please reply with suggestions, thanks

that 13g can act as a quantine tank and also you can keep cory cat inside as they are very hardy fish.

That sounds like alot of fish can you answre this question why isnt my ruby shark eating the food when im there

I'm assuming those fish currently inside the 13g will be remove to a bigger 45g. So that leave the tank empty which is no good for bacteria inside the tank put some cory in to keep bacteria and tank age is good way to main tain a quantine tank. I always have a feeder handy in my quantine tank ofcourse his clean. I will send u pm about ur ruby not eating since this is some one else tread.

I would keep it as a quar/hospital tank. You don't have to keep it full of water if you keep a spare filter running on your main tank. If you need to use the smaller tank for new purchases or a sick fish, just fill the smaller tank with dechlorinated water & add the small cycled filter & a heater.

A Hospital tank is always a good idea i have several as there have been several emergencies with multiple fish from multiple tanks, Maybe a tropical Community tank otherwise? They are always nice.

hmm, could i shove a few tetras in? and hav a friendly community tank?
