Getting New Fish

I'm going to buy a new fish tomorrow and have no idea what I should get. It's for a cichlid tank. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for your time.

90G that just got done cycling. No fish yet

What are you aiming for?
A single pet fish like & Oscar or a mix of 6" fish?

What decor?

Don't take this the wrong way, but it's your tank and you should buy fish you want to keep (provided they are suitable). I think you should also give yourself more than one day to research your purchases and not make your mind up your going to a buy a fish on a certain day. Sadly you can't always depend on the advice of an LFS and a lot of people end up buying the first thing they see and it's not suitable.

if i had a 90 gallon tank, I would get a green terror, an electric blue dempsey, and a midas. But i would just pick them because they are IMO the most colorful fish.

If you want smaller cichlids, you could get a pair of cons, firemouths, maybe get some parrots?

how big do jelly bean parrots get?

anyway, cons are very aggressive when paired up and in smaller tanks can't have any tankmates. I believe there is a sticky describing some cichlids, or just search for cichlids on google and look at the selection. Some websites even have compatability charts.

hopefully other members will tell you waht a great (or crappy) idea my suggestions aree
