Getting Juwel filter out

How to people get them out mine seems to be glued on. I have a juwel 180 vision with the compact h and it does my head in. Fish keep getting in some how even my plec and everytime I take the sponge out crap goes everywhere. So im going to replace it with a Hagen Fluval Plus 2 as i am already running an eheim 2213 classic so both filters are more than enough

so what the easiest way to get it out. Also if anyone wants to buy it they can have it cheap

The way thats I'ved heard is to take a long blade- the type that breaks up for a craft knife and slip it down the back and cut the silicone.

just slice through the silicone with a stanley knofe blade...worked for me

I'll just add that they go for around £20 on ebay, not bad for something you may throw away.
