Hi There.
I am just getting back into the game after about a 20 year hiatus. I bought a 5 gallon hex for my son's first B-day coming up (his own dorothy, he's an elmo junkie).
to contain a male betta and possibly a snail or some shrimp. I came here to do some research on the Bettas, and WOW has the info changed in 20 years. Not only is
it more accessible than it was before, but the style of fish-keeping has evolved so much as well.
In this past week of perusing this forum, I have already learned SO much. It also got me so excited, that I scooped up a 20 Gal High Kit off a friend. The 5 gal is
"cycling" now (a process unknown to me 20 yrs ago) and that wouldn't have been possible without gaining the knowledge and experience from the people who have
posted here. I am glad to find such an informative and helpful site, and look forward to learning, experiencing and chatting with all of you.
