Getting A New Tank

I went from a 60l to a 108l and used Tetra SafeStart to kickstart the TetraTec EX1200 along with my little Elite15 filter in the 108l tank. Everything was fine from day 1, no problems, no spikes, no nothing really. Tetra SafeStart is a great product and I'd recommend using it as well as your old filter media as it will populate the new filter quicker, meaning technically you wouldn't even need the media out of your old filter. My 60l now has the Elite15 back in and is running as a fry tank while I wait to sell it.

I'll be moving to a 270l in a month or so because I have the upgrade bug and want bigger. I will be using 2 bottles of SafeStart and moving all the current equipment over to the big tank, that way I will be able to get all the fish moved across straight away, rather than have to wait.

hi all

i went to the pet shop today and they said the best thing is to cycle im really confused now and my filter has not have any media in it for some reason maybe the only way is to do a cycle it wont matter its only for a few days
