Hello all,

in the next few weeks i will be getting a 295l tank (120Lx43W63H) and i was wondering what other fish i would be able to fit comfortably in it. I am already planning on getting the following:

4 Clown loaches
4 Angel Fish
1 Male sim fighter
1 Female sim fighter
1 Plec

any ideas on compatable fish that would go nicely in this group.

Cheers. :hyper:

Male and female fighters should never be kept together as they will end up attacking each other.
Males are best kept in a tank by themselves as they are solitary fish and don't need tankmates. They are not only aggressive to other fish but can also be nipped as well. Females tend to be a lot better in a community but you may still have issues with them nipping.
Clown Loaches can reach up to 12" and are very active so would ideally need a 90G+ tank.
Your Angels should be fine although watch out for any aggression if they decide to pair up.
There are many Plecos to choose from so have a looked at the pinned topic "Plecos 8" and under" to find one that you really like. You are best adding them when the tank has matured.

I have a friend who has both sexes of sim fighters in one tank and they seem to get on fine. They are both fine with no signs of distress at all. Do you think that this is just a one off?

Is there any other suggestions on what fish i might stock in my tank. I would like some coulorful fish to add to the collection i plan to add to the tank.

Thank you

Gaz

Would a red tail shark be possible to fit in if i didnt get a female sim fighter. Or would there be a confrontation from my list.
I really wanted to have angels in the tank.

Thanks for all advice given.
