Hi all,
I have a beautiful GBR in a 20-gallon, fully cycled tank. Today I noticed her colors were a little pale, and, right above her upper lip appears to be a reddish area. It's almost where her "nose/nostrils" would be if she had one. There is no sign of a gash or ulcer present. However, the area is definitely red and she is a little less spunky than usual.
The water parameters are fine - NH4 = 0, pH = 6.2, NO3 = 5, NO2 = 0.
She is eating with a happy appetite and enjoyed a meal of bloodworms about an hour ago.
Should I be worried?
