I was just wondering if any members of this forum have kept the German Blue Ram tropical fish and, if so, I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions regarding how you kept the fish.

(As the questions may be applicable to those setting up new aquariums, as well has experienced fish-keepers, I think this thread may serve as a good guide over the suitability of purchasing this fish to the novice).

1. What was the approximate age of the fish when you acquired it?
2. On a per-day basis, spanning a week, what did you feed the fish?
3. Did the fish succumb to any diseases?
4. (ONLY answer if applicable) What was the approximate age of the fish on death?
5. What was the PH value of the water in which you kept the fish?
6. What was the KH (carbonate hardness) and GH (general hardness) values of the water in which you kept the fish?
7. (ONLY answer if applicable) Did the fish die, in your opinion, from stress induced by other tank mates?
8. What was the nitrate value of the water in which you kept the fish?

Many thanks in advance for any responses!

Sounds like he/she had a good varied diet there.

I agree that others should also note down the temperature in which they kept their GBR's as this is a useful piece of information. I personally keep all my GBR's in 28 degrees C water.
