German Blue Ram Spawn

Only bought these two home yesterday, but they've already spawned.
The first cichlids i have ever kept aswell.
They're in a community tank - platy and gourami, but i'm not going to remove them this time. Im just gonna see what happens

Any advice?

nice fish, the sad thing is the eggs are clear that means they are not fertilized.
my pair spawns all the time.

Oh, what colour will they go when fertilised?
Are they supposed to get fertilized straight away or can it take a while?

Eggs hatch in around 72 hours - could be faster if you have a high temp. You will know if they are fertilized as around day 2 they will go a transparenty colour and you should be able to see dark spots in some which are the frys eyes. Any that turn white are unfertilized and going mouldy and this will spread to other eggs including ones that are viable so its best to dose with an anti fungal med as soon as they lay .

Dont be upset if the parents eat them. Some will take a dozen tries or more before they get it right.
