Gerbil newbies...

Although I do not own any now, I have owned countless gerbils in the past and have done much studying up on them. There is little about gerbil keeping that I do not know... so feel free to ask if you have any questions. If I do not know the answer, I will look it up for you. B)

my brother used to breed them, so I'm in the know as well.
the only posts about gerbils on here i've seen is by Dead-letters,

I just bought a gerbil!! His name is Jonah..And he's cute!! Um..Yeah..While I have owned three hampsters in the past...Gerbils seem friendlier and a little more playful..Any advice you would have owuld be great..

yes gerbils can be very cute,
however they can bite as well so don't startle him/her.

do not keep two males together as they will fight to the death
also keeping males and females together is a recipie for
1000's of babies.

Give them something hard to chew on the keep their teeth worn down
like all rodents the teeth grow continuosly.
