BZ - I think your original plant was Diplidis diandra judging by some of the photos I've just seen on Google images.
I don't think so :no: Diplindis Diandra tend to have pinkish tips (more so under high light) and mine looked nothing like this or some of the other google images I saw. But then I think it's actually spelt Didiplis and not diplidis ? or was that just a typo ?

You're probably right. I just thought the stem/leaf structure and colour contrast was more similar than any of the Rotala or Mayaca. I just don't think it was the same as what I have now and I can't see any other possibilty currently. It's only academic anyway. ;)
 
i only browsed thru the post, so whats the sp. of the plant ? im getting rotala nanjenshan this weekend from a local hobbyist, and from what i saw it looks like that ....
