I have 10 Geophagus sp tapajos orange heads and atleast 2 potentail pairs. although Geophagus has been seen to spawn in harem sile as well and does not have very strong pairing mechanisms. I have had eggs 2 times before and yesterday the third time:

Unfortunately the eggs were gone this morning, I suspect my ancistus or possibly my golden nugget, but I'm not sure if they eat eggs (Accordinjg to planet catfish they do in the wild at least)

Shame the eggs have gone, plecs will eat eggs, although my brazilliensis have spawned a few days ago they have managed to hatch dispite there being a pleco in the tank.

I have some severum rotkeils in the same tank and they have managed to hatch many times. However lately they ave lost their eggs and then they move to another place to lay their eggs and then they succeeded again. I had a bunch of ancistus sp. size 2-3 cm and they have now grown to about 5 cmand maybe that i sthe issue, thay are getting too big and hungry?! I'll try to get rid of them.
