Gentle Filter

Can anyone recommend me a very gentle filter for my Betta in my 5 gallon tank?

I find the Elete Mini to be a good one for tanks that size: it has an adjustable flow rate.

It says for up to 3 gallons? I have a 5 gallon tank. And many people said it was still too powerful even on the lowest setting?

I've used it on everything from 2 gallons to 12/3 gallons and actually use them as my powerheads in my marine pico reef. They're not amazing at mechanical waste removal, but they are excellent for biological filtration. I do often use ceramic balls instead of sponges in them though.

I need something very gentle for my betta, I guess I will just have to try this.

It should easily be able to deal with just a Betta. Do make sure to cycle properly, if you can or at least seed it.

I finally decided to go with Toms Internal Mini Filter. has worked quite good so far.
