General Plant Info

How do I go about keeping plants alive in my aquarium? i have now realised it's not as simple as planting them. This was a shock to me but I would like some help please. Do I need to feed them? add c02?? get more light?? help.

Plant success is determined by many factors; species chosen, light levels, nutrients etc.
