Gender Influences In Ameca Splendens?

Ok, my Ameca splendens spawned back in august 2006 and had a couple more spawns after. The ones from august are mature now but they are all female. The ones from the later spawns are nearing maturity and they all appear to be females...

What influences the gender of the fish?

As far as I've tried with them, their are none. It's just pot luck to what you get from each batch.

some people said temperature, some people said pH but I have 5 mature amecas from a spawn back in August and they turned out all females. I have some inchlong fry right now, not yet sexable, but they look like they are turning female too.
