Gbr Red Nose

My german blue ram has this red spot on top of his mouth, was wondering if I should be worried as I haven't seen it there before. Water levels are normal, behavior is normal and his regular aggression is also normal.

Can you isolate?
 
Hard to tell in the pictures but it there any white edging around the red spot.
Or a white centre to the spot.
Does the spot look like it's eating the skin away?

No white centre or edging, and I'm unable to isolate unfortunately.
 
Hard to say, maybe it does look like that a little. The spots are actually on both sides he just wouldn't stay still for me to take a good picture.

Just add some anti internal bacteria by interpet to the tank, or esha 2000. Just to be on the safe side.
If the spots just suddenly appeared they sound bacterial.

Glad to know he's back to normal. Must admit, my initial thoughts were just an innocent show of colours. If so, don't be surprised if it comes back again!

It could be colouring but by the pics it didn't look like it. Bit it's not always easy to tell in pics.
Glad he has improved.
