i found that my 29 gal planted was being to much of a hassel right now so i decided to take out the real plants and the driftwood and did a total cleaning. i used fake plants and i made a stack of big river rocks in the back of the tank. it looks much nicer and the water is a lot clearer. btw i kept the filter running in a bucket of tank water to keep the bacteria alive in the filter material.

anyway i kept the nicer looking plants and put them in my 2.5 gal and moved my 2 dwarf puffers in there. the plants are 3 java fern, a couple young amazon swords bunched together, 1 big bunch of red ludwigia, 1 bunch or rotala(not sure on the species, the lower leaves are red while the new young ones are bright green), and 1 bunch of fril plant. the light bulb is a 10 watt 50/50 mini pc which gives me 4 watts/gal.

now im wondering if i can use seachem flourish with my puffers without hurting them and i need the recipie for DIY co2 on this tank.

sure u can use the seachem fert. the diy recipe is~

1/2 teaspoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate sodium(baking powder)
sugar, there should be a mark in the cylinder which is like 1/4 up. so just add the sugar all the way there.

then add lukewarm water and put the lid on and shut it really tight. bubbles should come out in 10-50 min.

i know the recipie.....i worded it wrong cuz i was in a rush to type it. anyway i needed to know how big of a bottle should i use for a 2.5 gal tank. im guesing something like a 20 oz soda bottle.
