You may remember me getting a female honey gourami, then asking whether I should get some more. I got a male, but I now appear to have, uh, mislaid the female. I hadn't seen her for a few days, so I took all the rocks out (lots of hiding places in there) and no female... She can't have jumped, so I'm assuming she died and got eaten. Anyhow, I'm left with just the male. So, should I aim to get another female, or is he OK to live on his ownsome? BTW, 15g with 5 cories, 2 tetras and 2 peacock gudgeons. And overfiltered a bit.

Your tank doesn't have room for more fish. If it did, 2 mroe females would have made better additions than just one. Stick to what you have though. The single male will be fine on his own.
