what' u guys think???? the gloss is just starting to take off...I kinda got lazy when I was planting them so I have lots of them growing vertically instead of spreading.....suggestion on improvement is welcome too....

I'd suggest creating a midground, adding plants to fill in sides also, and then try new positions with the large driftwood with java ferns (it seems to be distracting).

Looks fab mate, its only going to get better as it fills out :)

I think you need a plant between the large pece of wood and the vallis to bridge the gap and soften it up a little, and a plant under the large peice of wood would help it blend in as well.

Haves you thought about putting your anbuilas on the large peice of wood, create a belt under the java fern.

Keep up the good work mate

Simon

hey guys....
this might turn into one of those journals....lol...I rip out all the vals and the stem plants and re planted some of those standing glosso to create that carpet effect and move on of the drift wood.....here is a pic as of now....

Why is the small driftwood behind the small one? I think it should be the other way around.

cause I thought it would give a little of depth on my tank.....I kinda wanna do an Amano inspired tank, so I think i'm going to keep just the glosso growing on the forground and let the stem plants grow on the left side to cover up the filter and heater......I'll keep you guys updated when it takes off....

here are the latest pic of my tank...still not going the way I want it,....the damn gloss keeps growing straight up and I keep on pushing them down...I'm tempted to bring my lights up now to 6.5 watts per gallon so the gloss would cover up the fore ground....anyways here are some changes....

looks good mate, should look even better when it fills out.

I suggest moving the ambulia under the large piece of wood, it might get a visit from the algae monster in full light.

bought some plants today to add some red on the tank and trim some of the plants.....here are the new updated pics.....

Looking good :) the only thing I would say is that it looks very crampt on the left side with very little on the right, think something in there would help balance it out a bit. Perhaps turing the main piece of bogwood around would help at this forms quite a barrier in the middle of the tank. Just my HO though :)

the background plants are filling in nicely and so is the glosso....the rightside of the tank still looks kinda empty as the hairgrass seems to be stunted in growth....anybody have any suggestions on what plants should I add to make the right side more fuller or to add more depth to the tank??...here's the latest pic

yah...I am injecting CO2 but not pressurized....I'm using yeast and sugar and about 15-25 ppm......I'm turning on full lights 3 hours a day and 6 hours with only 3.25 watts per gallon...

what are the dimensions etc.?
- how do you like the rummy noses, Im thinking of having some with cardinals in a 20g long.
