We've had him a few weeks and up until the weekend he would regularly pop out from behind the wood of an evening and have a scoot around the tank, hang off the glass, and so on. However, for the last few days he has shunned the limelight and is staying firmly round the dark side of the wood. He is still moving about, I know 'cos I can see him going back and forwards past the holes in the wood,,but he is no longer venturing out to the front of the tank. The only thing that I have changed is to install a CO2 kit. Would this be enough to change his behaviour? Or should I be looking for something else?

That's actually more like its normal behaviour ime.

My L177 was the shyest Lori I have owned

I had read about them being the shy retiring type, but was getting used to him being a regular evening visitor. They will all be moving to a much bigger tank soon so at least he will be able to establish his own space.
