Fw Test Kit Do? Or Do I Need Sw

Can i use my API freshwater master testkit for brackish water, or do i have to buy a salt water one?

I use a freshwater kit on my brackish tank, but I think it depends on your salinity levels. My tank is low end at 1.005 [or there abouts], I think if you go over a certain level you are best off using a salt water kit....not sure what the figure is though, I should imagine somewhere around 1.010 [don't quote me on that ]

1 died, only got 3 now not sure why, water quality was fine

Sorry to hear that Are you going to replace it....keep your numbers right? My multies are on hold atm....was getting a 5'x2'x2' and it got damaged in the move So am now back on the look out for another one for my clowns before I can do anything else!

nah, im not replacing it yet, hopefully it shouldnt be long until i get a pair(if i'm lucky) so when they breed they wil replenish the stock
