I have a male VT in a 27 Litre, with an apple snail for company. I have had him 4 weeks (or so), ever since
Well, he would NOT eat betta flake at all!!! just looked at me like "no way i'm chowing on that cr4p dude", after a week I spoke with the LFS and it turns out he was sharing a tank with platys and had been living of fresh babies for AGES!!! (he was and is in perfect condition!).
so, now I know what that look means "what is this dead cr4p you're giving me and where are my fish?".
well, 4 weeks later and he DOES eat Betta flake now, it seems he tried it once (out of desperation because I would not give in!!) he liked it, now he finishes it all.
I also feed him bloodworm though, couple times a week
, but boy was he a toughy to break!
