I recently added a large piece of red moor wood to my tank. It had been soaked for a week before I picked it up at the fish shop, and I also soaked and scrubbed it whilst re-scaping my tank.
Just looking in my tank I've noticed it looks like it has a furry coating in places. Mainly between the crooked twiggy bits that I can't get to! I would compare it to the kinda of fluffy furry mould you find on food when it goes off, but not so bad. Its a whitish colour and only really noticeable if you look closely.
Is this bad? Should I try and get it off?
Its going to be really awkward doing so as like I say it seems to be in all the hard to reach areas and also, the wood doesn't completely sink, so I have to rocks on top of it to weigh it down.
I can try and get a pic, but every time I do, it doesn't seem to pick up the fur!
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.
