What are some funny "traits" that your betta's have?

I have a male in a divided 10 gallon, and the filter is on the otherside, so by the time it gets through the divider to him you can barely even see a current. Except he is a big grump, and wraps himself around his plant, or tries to dig his body underneath it and looks pathetic until I turn it off. Sometimes I think he is dead. He must have been an Oscar in his past life.

I have another male who lives in his cave, and comes out only for food and to blow bubbles. When he was in another tank temporarily, he moped about because he had nowhere to hide.

Pirate Blackbeard tries to dig himself underneath the divider, and one of these days he is going to hurt his head I think.

Another one used to have a few marbles scattered on the bottom of his tank, and he would go nuts flaring at his reflection in them, so I had to take them out.

Don't have betta's but enjoyed reading about yours.

Oh, I like your stories... I love my boys. They truly do have personalities...

Fred and JD share a tank (divided), and JD is abit younger (guessing by his smaller size), and he is oblivious... Fred is a tough one (lived in our 30 gal for awhile with all the other fishes), he flares and wiggles and lunges at the divider when JD swims by, and JD could care less, just kinda half-eyeballs him and keeps swimming. Pretty funny.

Ferdinand and Bob share another tank (also divided)... Ferdie is a HUGE flirt, loves to flare and wiggle at me when I approach the tank to say hello, but when my husband comes by, nothing, nada, zilch. Bob is the jumper of the group (thank goodness I have tank lids!), he literally launches out of the water to catch his BettaBites before they hit the water!

LOVE my Betta Bachelor Boys!

Let's see... Bartleby has HUGE long pectoral fins that make him look like he's flying when he swims, which is fun to watch. He also has white rings around his eyes that make him look all bug-eyed, and make everyone think he has pop-eye whenever I post pics of him
Altarib is the betta beside my bed who does the worm dance, which I made a thread about a couple of days ago...
and I have a little itty bitty tiny crowntail female who is half the size of a normal female (and full gown, too,) who thinks she is rough and tough, lol! She'll take on anyone who looks at her the wrong way :flex:
