'Funny' things at Petco

My last visit at Petco was really...'funny' I should say. The first thing is that I saw a betta book that was known as 'best seller' and guess what was on the front page? TWO male bettas right next to each other in the same tank or container; one was pretty beat up too. The next 'funny' thing was there was a plastic board that said something about bettas live in shallow pools of water and would THRIVE in small containers and that they even prefer it. Isn't that 'funny'?

they do live in small spaces but i think its better for fish to have loads of room to swim as fast as they want it better like that
some people put them in jars it ent fair

hmm..i recently found my petco ..they promote tanks 1-20 gallons for bettas i have mine in 1 gal.(ani amy flame) and 1.5 gallon for lightning we have low space it works they are very happy.also note i got Flame from a petco in Illinois and he may have fin rot but he is the happiest fish ever

Rice Paddies? Small? Pish. Even in the dry seasen they may be shallow, but they are the size of football fields so a betta can swim on and on...
