Hi there...wondering if anyone has seen a fish do this...or know what may be causing it.

Just recently bought a female gold gourami. She was being terrorised by my old serial pest Large male three spot, whom I finally re-homed back to the petshop after 2.5 years of trying to find a tank mate he wouldn't eat.
Now she look happy enough in the tank with a few new platies.

I just noticed today that she is doing this weird slappy thing.
She swims the full length of the tank at full speed at the water intake tube (sits vertically in the back corner), then slaps her body on it and races off in the opposite direction. She does this over and over...then stops for a while, then starts up again.

Any ideas?

She has now included the tank thermometer in her slapping behaviour.
Also,
I have noticed on a few occasions that one of the platies swim by her and occasionally pick at her side, but she doesn't react and lets the platy do it.
whats that all about?
