Hello All!

I was wondering if any of you can give me your input on what could be a white stringy substance coming from that bottom of my fish? He was wounded (punctured flesh) from another fish in the tank a week and a half ago, and he seems to be healing fine but this showed up away from the area of his wound and I dont know what it is? Ive never seen it before. They aren't spots, no other noticeable film developing on his body...just these stringy white things? Its very hard to see in the pictures ive taken. I wonder if they are anchor worms?? Any ideas folks? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

If you'd like to see a picture, I can email it to you if you provide your email. I tried to post it here but I think the file is too large.

That looks like the very early stages of a fungal infection so you have spotted it very quickly indeed. I think you should post that picture in the Tropical Fish Emergency section to get a more professional opinion than mine.
