Fungus Spread

As long as the surface is really rippling well it will be fine.
Good luck.

just an update. today marks day 5 and my cardinal still has the white fluff on it's tail and my platy does as well. i am going to change the water today and do a huge change about 70%. not sure where to go from here :(

Do a water change and run some black carbon. You need to change meds to maracyn one and two.

i just did a pretty big water change and placed carbon in filter. the good news is that...
my pregnant platy that droped her fry i rescued one last remainder fry. it was hidein gunder a rock for it's life! lol!

how long shoul di wait before doing the new treatment with the new meds? and how will i know if my fish become immune to it?

Is Maracyn 1&2 liquid or powder. and if i can't find maracyn one and two, what other do you recommend please. thanks!

Maracyn one and two can come in tablet form, never used maracyn as you can't buy
it in the uk.
Maracyn one and two is meant to be good when dealing with columnaris.
You will be able to add the meds after you have run some black carbon for aday.
If you over use bacterial meds the fish can build a resistance up to them.
Congrats on the fry.

hey Wilder, i can only seem to find Mardel Maracyn II, maybe the "I" doesn't say "I" ?? are they sold seperatly usually?

Yes they are sold seperaly, maracyn, maracyn two.

ohhhh no wonder. okay i just went to my LFS they had them both but the 'II' was about a few weeks left before they expire so i couldn't get that one. However i got the 'I' which offers...

8 tablets for

fin & tail rot
popey
body fungus (columnaris you said i most likely have)

the 'II' i inoticed that it treated popey, fin rot, gill disease, and some other strange disease i never heard of.. not columnaris so i think this one i got "I' should be best for my situation. ty :)

The maracyn might cure it on its own we say to use both to cover all bases.
