hi
i posted a while ago on bert our male betta who had a few ver small patches of fungus on his face, i tried myaxin as suggested but it didnt seem to work probably because i only dosed for a couple of days as the khulis who bert resides with seemed to get stressed with the myaxin - going pale & swimming around madly. today i noticed that berts tail is looking decidedly ragggedy so ive put him in our hospital tank with again myaxin & aquarium salt for a proper go this time, just wondering if i should add melafix as well....or is that too much different meds at one go.
we've had our big community tropical tank for over 5 yrs now but im quite inexperienced when it comes to bettas, we've had our 40L with bert for nearly 2 years and would appreciate any advice
thanks

The Myxazin should work really well providing you see the course through to the end. Also, check that you don't have any charcoal pads in your filter, if so they need to be removed first.

I've never had to mix Myxazin and Melafix but since Melafix is a natural remedy (tea tree oil) I would have thought it would be fine to add whilst treating with the Myxazin. You might want to double-check that, though. Maybe post the question on the fish emergency forum. Wilder is usually good with queries like this.

Hope your Betta gets better soon!

Regards - Athena
